The F-15 Eagle was developed in the 1970s to provide the US Air Force with a modern and extremely powerful fighter aircraft.
The F-15 took part in the 1991 Gulf War and was able to secure air superiority for coalition forces. It was the most effective fighter aircraft with an impressively high number of enemy aircraft shot down. Armed with a 20mm M61 cannon, it can use a wide range of air-to-air missiles. Thanks to the two powerful Pratt & Whitney F-100 turbo engines with afterburner, the "Eagle" is capable of reaching a top speed of Mach 2.5.
