From January 15 to February 5, 2022, the 1st Armored Division, as one of the two armored divisions of the German Army, exercised the command of three multinational brigades with a total strength of 6000 soldiers from Germany, Great Britain and Kosovo as part of the "Allied Spirit XIII" exercise , Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Hungary and the U.S.A in a high-intensity battle of national and alliance defense at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels.
