The Sd.Kfz. 234 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 234) was a family of armored reconnaissance vehicles designed for the German Wehrmacht during World War II.
The vehicles were lightly armored and armed and were powered by a Tatra V12 diesel engine.
The 234/3 had a 7.5 cm K51 L/24 cannon in an open-top superstructure as a replacement for the turret.
88 were built between June and December 1944.
At the staff company of the Pz.A.A. 20 of the 20th Pz.Div. became an Sd.Kfz. 234/3 equipped with a 2 cm floating mount 38.
