The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a fourth-generation, single-engine, delta-wing multirole combat aircraft manufactured by the French company Dassault Aviation.
It was developed in the late 1970s as a light fighter to replace the Mirage III of the French Armée de l'air.
The Mirage 2000 evolved into a multirole aircraft with several variants sold to a number of countries.
In 2016, a Mirage 2000N of the squadron received a special livery to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Lafayette Escadrille. The aircraft has been used by the Ramex Delta Display Team at several air shows.
