Northrop NF-5NF-5B/F-5B/SF-5B Freedom Fighter

The Northrop F-5 is a lightweight, supersonic fighter aircraft originally developed in the late 1950s.
The F-5A and F-5B Freedom Fighter has a small, highly aerodynamic airframe around two compact, high-thrust General Electric J85 engines.
The emphasis is on performance and low maintenance costs.
This compact design has made it a popular export aircraft.
Although primarily designed for air superiority as a day fighter, it is also a capable base for ground attack missions.
The Canadair CF-5 is a Northrop F-5 built under license in Canada.
In Spain, the F-5 was built under license by CASA.
