The Boeing AH-64 Apache is an American attack helicopter with twin turboshaft engines, a tailwheel landing gear and a tandem cockpit for a crew of two.
It has a nose-mounted sensor unit for target acquisition and night vision systems.
It is armed with a 30mm M230 chaingun and typically a mix of AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and unguided Hydra 70 rockets.
The AH-64D Apache Longbow is equipped with a glass cockpit and advanced sensors, the most notable of which are the AN/APG-78 Longbow millimeter-wave fire control radar (FCR) and the radar frequency interferometer (RFI). Installed in a dome above the main rotor.
