The Airco DH.5 was a British single-seat biplane fighter aircraft of World War I.
It was one of the first British fighter aircraft to be fitted with the improved gun synchroniser, which allowed a forward-firing machine gun to fire through the propeller more quickly and reliably than the older systems.
Approximately 550 airframes were built.
