Henry Potez founded the Société des Avions Potez in 1921 after working with Marcel Bloch in the S.E.A. during World War I. He commissioned Louis Coroller to design the Potez 25. The Potez 25 prototype, made of wood and metal construction and powered by a 450 hp Lorraine-Dietrich 12 Eb engine, is said to have made its first flight in early 1925.
