The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engine, single-seat all-metal fighter and ground attack aircraft that first flew in 1938.
A total of 15 USAAF Pursuit/ Fighter groups (FG) flew the P-40 between 1941 and 1945.
It was delivered to both the USAAF and the Allies, in brtic services it was known as the Kittyhawk.
