The A-1A was the first production variant of the Messerschmitt Me262 jet fighter and the fighter-bomber version of the aircraft that Hitler wanted.
It could be used as an interceptor or configured to carry bombs and air-to-air mortars.
The aircraft's powerful nose-mounted cannons could be used with devastating effect against the massed formations of USAAF bombers attacking Germany.
The jets' offensive firepower could be further increased by fitting R4M "Orkan" rocket packs under each wing.
Mounted on simple wooden racks, twelve stabilized R4M rockets could be carried under each wing, each capable of shooting down an enemy bomber.
The North American P51 Mustang is considered one of the legendary American fighters of World War II. The Mustang was designed to RAF specifications and changed after the Rolls Royce Merlin engine was fitted.
Its long range and excellent firepower made it an excellent escort fighter, able to protect the bombers all the way to Berlin and back
