Mounted on simple wooden racks, twelve stabilized R4M rockets could be carried under each wing, each capable of shooting down an enemy bomber.
The North American P51 Mustang is considered one of the legendary American fighters of World War II. The Mustang was designed to RAF specifications and changed after the Rolls Royce Merlin engine was fitted.
Its long range and excellent firepower made it an excellent escort fighter, able to protect the bombers all the way to Berlin and back
