The following spring, the second Ar V2 (D-IRAS) flew.
Although the performance of the Ar 76 was not bad, the FW-56 was chosen and the C-Amt ordered a smaller production series in case of problems, so the Arado aircraft factory built the Ar 76 A-0 series.
The aircraft were then taken over by the Luftwaffe in 1936 and assigned to schools and combat units (I/JG 232-Group Loerzer in Bernburg).
The type is known in the FFS A/B 1, FFS A/B 8, FFS A/B 23 and LKS 1 in Kaufbeuren, Görlitz or Kamenz, as well as in the FFS A/B 32 in Chrudim. In the training units, the Ar 76 A-0 normally only flew with one (right) machine gun, the firing channel of the second was covered.
It is likely that the Ar 76 A-0 with the FFS A/B 8 also flew in the Protectorate of Cheb, Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázne and was in service until 1942–43.
