The Avia B-135 was a modern Czechoslovak fighter aircraft, a successor to the Avia B-35.
The aircraft featured retractable landing gear (finally - it was already planned for the B-35), so even with the original engine it performed better than its predecessor and could become the equivalent of the German Bf 109E.
