The spars and ribs were made of pine and plywood and the wing was covered with plywood
The aircraft was built before World War II by both ČKD-Praga in Prague and under license by F. Hills & Sons Ltd in Manchester as the Hillson Praga.
Approximately 150 E.114Bs were built, including around 40 by Hillson.
