The Mitsubishi G4M was a twin-engined, land-based medium bomber and was used by the Imperial Japanese Navy from 1940 to 1945.
It was commonly referred to as a hamaki ("cigar") by Japanese naval pilots because of the cylindrical shape of its fuselage and its tendency to ignite after being hit.
