The Ilyushin Il-76 is a fixed-wing, four-jet strategic multi-role aircraft developed by the Soviet Union's Ilyushin Design Bureau.
In 2014, during the war against the separatists, Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Bielyi was killed at the age of 38 while piloting an Il-76MD in Luhansk in eastern Ukraine and was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile fired by the separatists.
In his memory, another Il-76MD of the Ukrainian Air Force was named after him.
One set of markings is for Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Bielyi of the Ukrainian Air Force and another for the Indian Air Force.
