May 1942. In order to intercept the enemy's strategic bombers, the German Air Ministry needed a "special high-altitude fighter" in the near future, the specifications of which were to be a pressurized cabin and the ability to fly above 13,000 m.

In response to this request, the Focke-Wulf company developed the ultimate fighter as an improved model of the already fighting masterpiece Fw 190, which could fly an impressive 10,000 m at a top speed of 750 km/h and was equipped with a liquid-cooled engine, a long fuselage and long, equally wide wings. The first prototype came out in August 1943. In the last days of World War II, the “Ta 152” was finally born, the ultimate piston fighter required for home defense.
