The Stearman PT-17 Kaydet was the standard training aircraft of the US Army and US Navy during World War II. Thousands of American and Allied pilots were trained on this type.
Despite the chaos of war, many of these machines survived and can now be seen at air shows all over the world as witnesses to a bygone era.
