The first variant of the Focke appeared over the English Channel in the autumn of 1941.
The Fw 190B used a BMW 801 turbocharged radial engine and pressurized cockpit, but only a small quantity was built.
The successor version FW 190C was then powered by a 1750 hp Daimler-Benz in-line engine.
In 1944, production of the Fw190D-9 began, which was put into service in September 1944.
