The Grumman S-2 Tracker was the first purpose-built submarine hunting aircraft to enter service with the United States Navy.
It was a conventionally designed propeller-driven aircraft with two radial engines, a high-wing wing that could be folded for storage on aircraft carriers, and a tricycle landing gear.
The Republic of China Air Force first put the S-2A into service in 1967.
From 1976 they received the S-2E.
