The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is an advanced successor to the F/A-18C/D. A fuel tank was added to increase range. The fuselage has been lengthened by 86 cm and fuel is also loaded into the vertical stabilizer. The associated increase in weight is compensated for by an engine with increased thrust. Due to the engine change, the intake duct was also enlarged. The inlet has an angular parallelogram shape. This is one of the external features of this machine. The fuselage structure features extended main wings to increase lift. Significant changes were made, such as increasing the wing area. Otherwise, only some electronics and power systems have been updated. Common features with F/A-18C/D are planned.
