The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-turbine, straight-wing, subsonic attack aircraft developed by Fairchild for the United States Air Force (USAF).
It has been in service since 1976 and is nicknamed the "Warthog"
It was specially designed for air support.
