The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang is a single-seat American long-range fighter and fighter-bomber that saw service in World War II and the Korean War, among others.
1987 copies of the P-51B were built in Inglewood/California.
The first production version to be equipped with the Merlin engine.
Of these, 308 were delivered under Lend-Lease and put into service by the RAF as "Mustang III".
