The Kamov Ka-50 "Black Shark" (NATO code name: Hokum A) is a single-seat combat helicopter of Soviet / Russian production with Kamov's typical coaxial rotor system.
It was developed in the 1980s and entered service with the Russian Army in 1995.
The Ka-50 is used as a heavily armed reconnaissance helicopter and is characterised by the fact that it has an ejection seat, which is rare for helicopters.
