The F-15 Eagle was developed in the 1970s to provide the US Air Force with a modern and extremely powerful fighter aircraft.
The F-15C represents the more modern version and is now mainly used by the US Air Force, the US National Guard and the air forces of several countries such as Japan, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
The F-15 participated in the 1991 Gulf War and was able to provide air superiority to coalition forces.
It was the most effective fighter with an impressively high number of enemy aircraft shot down. Armed with a 20mm. M61 gun, it can employ a wide range of air-to-air missiles. D
owing to the two powerful Pratt & Whitney F-100 turbo engines with afterburner, the "Eagle" is capable of reaching a top speed of Mach 2.5.
