The Re 2005 was one of the best Italian fighter aircraft of the Second World War.
Although only just under 40 were completed in 1943, the aircraft was used by three armed forces: the Regia Aeronautica, the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana and the German Luftwaffe.
