Chow Time - German AT gun crew with 3,7cm PaK35/36

War is characterised by long periods of boredom punctuated by hectic bursts of activity. Eating is obviously one way to while away the hours of inactivity – even if army food is not so stimulating.
The Eastern Front quickly became a nuisance to German soldiers, and when the winter of 1941 arrived, things got really bad.
Not only was the weather atrocious, but the advent of vehicles such as the KV and T-34 spoiled the day for many well-trained soldiers.
The 3.7cm PaK 36/37 anti-tank guns soon proved useless against these tanks, and were soon derisively referred to by their crews as the "tank knocker".
