Fahrzeug Profile 108 "Mehrfachraketenwerfer NVA"
FP108
UNITEC
The development of rocket projectiles began as early as 1932, which were first fired from aircraft and a short time later from artillery launchers. Since this development proved to be extremely promising, these projectile launchers were quickly introduced into the Red Army.
Since projectile launchers are able to fire a large number of projectiles as volleys within a short period of time, which, due to the intended scattering, hit a relatively large area, they inflict high personnel and material losses on the enemy troops - the highly demoralizing effect on the enemy is also high not to underestimate. For this reason, even before the reorganization of the barracked People's Police into the National People's Army in 1956, the armed units of the GDR had their first missile launchers. This booklet presents the projectile launchers introduced into the NVA such as the BM13, BM 24, BM 21 "Grad", RM70 and their sub-variants in words and pictures.
