Gepanzerte Radfahrzeuge der Bundeswehr (Teil 1)
DIN A4, German language,
In the beginning of the year 1950 the German Army was planned of being reinforced. There were initially no plans for armoured cars except for special forces. Although special cars of foreign nations were tested they did not meet the requirements of the German forces. In 1975 the German forces introduced the first armourd car, the famous "Luchs". It was produced by Daimler-Benz and Thyssen-Henschel. The car met all the requirements and is still on duty. New tasks in worldwide displacements led to new types of armoured cars, that will be described in detail in these volumes.
