Hauptthemen:
Panzerwrecks 22: Desert: Which unit painted a large flamingo on their halftrack? Who covered a Pz.Kpfw.III in concrete? How do you drive an 8-wheeled armoured car? What does an armour-piercing rocket do to a Panzer? Where did the British collect captured German tanks? The answers to these and other questions are to be found here in Panzerwrecks 22, with 156 rare and unpublished large-format photographs sourced from around the world and six specially commissioned artworks by Felipe Rodna.
Panzerwrecks 22 is the usual mix of twisted armour and wreckage but with a hot and dusty flavour. The book continues the house style: very high production values, quality paper and binding and six beautiful original artworks from the guru of all things colourful; Felipe Rodna. Felipe’s works are printed as diptychs; where the original photograph is shown on the left page and colour artwork on the right, which highlights the fantastic level of detail that Felipe can achieve when printed at full page. Photos are published primarily one per page and sympathetically treated in-house to remove the horrible things that spoil your enjoyment of a decent tank photo.
