On approximately 180 pages, the battle of the German army units for the Reich border is documented with unique and previously unseen photographic material. The approximately 180 black and white photographs are exclusively operational shots taken by German forces and not Allied post-war photographs. The majority of the photographs were taken by German soldiers during the final battles and thus represent unique visual documents from a time when film was scarce and photography was generally rare. The black and white photographs are complemented by three rare color photographs, also taken during the fighting. The images, supplemented by extensive and detailed texts and maps, are printed in the highest possible quality on premium art paper.
