Realistic representation with 3D printing
From the very beginning the company founder Hyunjin Kim was very keen that the parts produced, primarily vehicle wheels, should decisively enhance the respective model through maximum realistic representation.
Def.Model can reliably meet this high demand and has conquered the leading market position in this model building segment.
First-class Korean
Def.Model has released more than 500 products in the meantime, mainly accessories and resin conversions related to the Korean military.
In addition their portfolio also includes excellently detailed figures in 1/35, 1/72 and 1/48 scale.
The quality that the modeler gets from Def.Model can be described as first-class. Good to know that they are also quick responding to current models with the appropriate accessory parts.
How did the company name Def. Model come about?
Company founder Hyunjin Kim had the first contact with model building at the age of 6, it was a robot model as a supplement in a children's magazine.
The first kit he completed and painted was Academy's Ford Mutt. Today he still enjoys model building even in his spare time.
The company name is derived from the English word "definite" because defined, precise parts are developed at Def.Model, Hyunjin Kim explains.... or you can think of it, he says, as a continuation of the alphabetical order A,B,C.
The company
In 2007 Hyunjin Kim founded his company and then began to bring resin parts and conversion kits to the modeling market under the name Def.Model starting in 2011.
The company currently employs 6 people, with office and warehouse space on approximately 260m2.
At Def.Model they work with special vacuum machines for resin casting and of course the 3D printers are always busy to produce the sought-after model parts.
