In 1980s three new standard camouflage schemes (this time low-contrast) were introduced onto German military aircraft. Luftwaffe lead the change with introduction of "Norm 83" pattern of RAL6003, RAL7021 and FS34079. Heeresflieger followed the same colours in Norm 84 scheme (on some types however, like Bo-105, simplified to RAL6003 / RAL7021 only). Marineflieger was last to introduce the change with Norm 87 scheme of RAL5008, RAL7012 and RAL7009 designed for maritime Tornados (which retained this scheme for some time after transfer to Luftwaffe).

HTK-AS55 includes standard colours of German aircraft from 1980s to 1990s. The set contains:

    HTK-A171 – Grey Blue – RAL5008, used in Norm 87 Marineflieger camouflage scheme of Panavia Tornado (the final scheme of the type in Marineflieger service)
    HTK-A192 - Basalt Grey – RAL7012, used in Norm 87 Marineflieger scheme of Panavia Tornado. Also used in camouflage of Marineflieger SAR Sea King Mk.41s
    HTK-A225 – Green Grey – RAL7009, used in Norm 87 Marineflieger scheme of Panavia Tornado. Also used in camouflage of Marineflieger SAR Sea King Mk.41s
    HTK-A149 – Concrete Grey – RAL7023, used from early 1990s to current times in camouflage scheme of German Marineflieger Sea King Mk.41 (Search and Rescue variant)
    HTK-A226 – Black Green – RAL6012, "BGS-Green", standard colour of German Border Guard (Bundesgrenzschutz) helicopters, incl. SA-330J Puma, UH-1D, Bo-105
    HTK-A016 – Dark Green – FS34079, used in Norm 83 Luftwaffe (Tornado, F-104G, RF-4E, Alpha Jet, C-160D) and Norm 84 Heeresflieger (UH-1D and CH-53G) schemes
    HTK-A224 – Black Grey – RAL7021, used in Norm 83 Luftwaffe (Tornado, F-104G, RF-4E, Alpha Jet) and Norm 84 Heeresflieger (UH-1D, Bo-105 and CH-53G) schemes
