From 1935 to 1936, Germany began developing a series of large submarines suitable for naval combat and patrol missions.

It can fire a total of 22 torpedoes.
The defensive weapons are 10.5 cm cannons and anti-aircraft guns located on the conning tower.
The U-IXC type U-511 boat was delivered to Japan in September 1943 and renamed RO 500.
The boat surrendered to the US military in 1945 but was sunk a few months later.
