When launched in 1918, HMS Hood was the largest warship in the world.
She was the pride of the Royal Navy when she sailed to intercept Bismarck in May 1941.
After contact with the German battleship, she opened fire along with HMS Prince of Wales.
Bismarck returned fire and her fifth salvo fatally hit Hood, sinking her within two minutes. Of her 1500 crew, only three survived.
