The USS Enterprise (CV-6) was a Yorktown-class aircraft carrier built for the United States Navy in the 1930s.
It was the seventh US Navy ship of that name.
She was launched in 1936, and was one of only three American aircraft carriers to survive the war.
By the end of the war, her aircraft and guns had shot down 911 enemy aircraft, sunk 71 ships, and damaged or destroyed 192 more.
