On a three-week fishing trip, the trawler only devotes about a week to fishing; the remaining two weeks are needed for travel to and from the fishing grounds.
These trawlers are equipped with electronic equipment such as navigation aids, echo sonar and an automatic fish school detection system that indicates the density of fish populations.
