Launched on 7 May 1765, HMS Victory rose to fame when she became Admiral Nelson's flagship during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
Victory in this battle ended Napoleon's attempt to gain naval supremacy, but cost Admiral Nelson his life.
She had previously taken part in many major battles against Spanish and French fleets and is now the oldest ship in the Royal Navy still in service and the flagship of Portsmouth Command.
Having been restored to the same condition and appearance as at Trafalgar, she can now be viewed in all her glory in her home town of Portsmouth by visitors from all over the world.
