The M4 Sherman medium tank was the most important tank in the United States during the Second World War.
It was produced in a considerable number of units and formed the backbone of the armoured forces of the United States during this period.
It was produced in several variants and versions.
Production of the M4A3E8 began in late 1944.
The M4A3E8 (nicknamed "Easy Eight") featured several technical improvements that increased the Sherman's operational capability.
Alongside the 76 mm M1 high-speed gun, a new horizontal coil suspension system (HVSS) was installed, which could ensure better driving conditions and higher speed.
The "Easy Eight" took part in the final phase of the Second World War and was also active in the Korean War.
