The T-72 is a Soviet-made battle tank that can probably be considered the most widely used tank today. It weighs just over 41 tons and, with its 618 kW (840 hp) multi-fuel engine, has a top speed of 60 km/h.
It can be manned by a crew of three, as its 125 mm cannon is equipped with an automatic loader.
The cannon is accompanied by a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun.
Since its introduction in 1972, it has not only been exported to many countries and used in numerous conflicts, but has also been modified and improved time and again.
The T-72 AV is one of these versions.
It is equipped with additional reactive armor on the bow, skirts and turret.
Instead of other versions, the reactive armor on the turret is no longer attached directly to the armor, but on V-shaped frames.
