The Toryu was a twin-engine fighter aircraft designed and developed by Kawasaki Aircraft Industries for the Imperial Japanese Army. The Ki-45 proved to be particularly capable of intercepting large aircraft and played an important role in the defense of the mainland until the end of the war.
