North American P-51D Mustang

The North American P-51 Mustang is considered one of the legendary American fighters of World War II.
The Mustang was designed to meet an RAF specification.
The P-51D model's long range and excellent firepower made it an excellent escort fighter.
The P-51 is the best Allied fighter of the war, with 4950 enemy aircraft destroyed.
