From 1976, the commercially sold Porsche Turbo RSR racing car was used in World Sports Car Championship races.
As it was to be raced in the Group 4 GT class and the 930 Turbo was its basis, it was called the 934.
Its 2993cc boxer engine with turbocharger produced an impressive 485 hp and 62 kg/m of torque.
One of the 934 racing cars was entered in the 1976 DRM (German Racing Championship) by Kremer Racing. The cobalt green car took three victories that season and took driver Bob Wollek to the top of the Division 1 drivers' standings.
