Transit is a series of light commercial vehicles produced by Ford Germany and Ford UK since 1953 and designed for the European market.
The front engine of these vehicles allows for a lower loading area, making loading easier.
The Transit was produced jointly by the German and British Fordwerke in 1965, expressly at the request of Henry Ford; This collaboration gave rise to today's Ford Europe and the MK I was further redesigned in 1978 and the MK II was born.
In 1984, an aesthetic redesign was carried out on the front bumper and the engine, which was a 68 hp York diesel with a displacement of 2.5 liters.
These vehicles were a commercial success not only in Europe but also for non-European markets.
