The Jaguar XJ 220 became famous for its maximum speed record among production cars, which reached 350 km/h and was held from 1992 to 1994.
The origin of the project is also quite interesting.
It began with the ideas and creativity of Jaguar employees who worked on innovative and original projects that did not meet commercial requirements.
From this initiative was born the Jaguar XJ 220, the first production car of which was produced in 1991.
Light and extremely powerful, it delivered performance worthy of a true supercar and featured an aerodynamic design with lines that were cutting edge for its time.
A version was also developed for the world of motorsport, which took part in several GT races, including the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by renowned drivers of the time.
