The acronym SL (Sport and Light) refers to the various models that have been developed and launched over the years.
In the 1970s, the German automobile company launched the R107 and C107 series in roadster and coupé versions, which quickly achieved considerable commercial success.
The C107 evolved into the “top model” coupe SLC 500, whose production lasted almost a decade.
With a 4973 cm3 engine and an output of 237 hp, the Mercedes SLC 500 became the benchmark for the “premium” market, which also produced some iconic models in the 1970s that still stimulate the imagination and dreams of many collectors today.
