A wide variety of turret basket designs were produced over the years in various Australian Army workshops.
No two basket systems were the same.
These two baskets were slightly different sizes, the left one being slightly wider than the other.
They were made from either angle iron or square tubing.
Some were more sophisticated, for example the left basket was sometimes hinged to the right basket to allow easier access to the turret's built-in searchlight box.
