unassembled/unpainted
Since model building of armored vehicles, especially in 1:35, often has little to do with realism, we have completely redeveloped a fictional tank that never existed. The kit of the Tiger IIB from Meng that was published about a year ago was selected because it does not require any changes due to sawing and cutting work, only some components have to be replaced by new MR Models parts in order to be able to install the tower. Just as fictional as the whole tower is the cannon called “10.5cm Kw.K 50 L / 64”, which is included in the conversion kit as a turned aluminum part. In order for a box-like, significantly more voluminous turret like the well-known Tiger IIB turret to remain rotatable on an armored hull, which was never designed for such a turret, a new middle segment had to be provided on the engine cover, and the driver hatches would also have had to be redesigned for the new turret . This was taken into account with a new roof panel for the driver's compartment with modified hatches. The MR Models tower can be assembled without much time, the level of difficulty does not pose any particular requirements, the Meng model can be assembled quickly and easily in every respect. Even a few more ideas for such fictitious armored vehicles of the German Wehrmacht would have taken a different course are also available. Perhaps we will turn to the topic again later.
