The Panzerabwehrkanone 36 was a German 3.7cm calibre anti-tank gun from World War II.
It was the most important anti-tank weapon of the Wehrmacht until 1942.
Developed by Rheinmetall in 1933, it was first delivered to the army in 1936.
By the start of the war in September 1939, 9120 units were available, and during the war a further 5339 units were produced. In the late 1930s it was the dominant anti-tank gun in the world.
