The Ordnance Quick-Firing (OQF) 6-pounder 7 cwt, or simply 6 pounder, was a British 57 mm gun that served as the primary anti-tank gun in both the British Army and the U.S. Army during World War II. In the U.S. Army it was designated 57 mm Gun M1.
There was also a special version for air-loading troops, which was used in Operation "Market Garden" near Arnhem and Nijmegen in September 1944, among other operations.
