The Sd.Kfz. 251 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251) was a German half-track armored infantry fighting vehicle of World War II, developed by the Hanomag company based on the unarmored Sd.Kfz. 11 vehicle.
The vehicle was designed to transport the Panzergrenadiers into battle.
The Sd.Kfz. 251s were the most widely produced German half-tracks of the war, with at least 15,252 vehicles and variants produced by seven manufacturers.
The Sd.Kfz. 251/9 - Armored Infantry Fighting Vehicle (7.5 cm KwK37). Equipped with a low-velocity 75 mm L/24 gun and the same pedestal gun mount as the StuG III.
